Summary: Poisson Geometry and Mathematical Physics
The conference “Poisson Geometry and Mathematical Physics” organized by Yunhe Sheng (Professor, Jilin University), Chenchang Zhu (Professor, Georg-August-Universität Göttingen) and Honglei Lang (Associate Professor, China Agricultural University), was successfully held at the Tianyuan Mathematics Research Center, Kunming, from October 26 to November 1, 2025.
The main scope of the conference:
1. Poisson geometry
2. Higher algebra structures
3. Lie groupoids and algebroids
4. Symplectic geometry, integrable systems and mirror symmetry
5. Generalized complex geometry
Participants:
The conference attracted 35 participants from a wide range of institutions, including:
University of Geneva, University of Zurich (Switzerland);
Instituto de Matemática Pura e Aplicada, Universidade de São Paulo (Brazil);
University of Warsaw, Polish Academy of Sciences (Poland);
Max Planck Institute for Mathematics (Germany);
La Rochelle Université (France);
Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium);
University of Salerno (Italy);
Ritsumeikan University (Japan);
Institute for Basic Science (South Korea);
The Chinese University of Hong Kong;
Chinese Academy of Sciences;
Peking University;
Fudan University;
Wuhan University;
Sichuan University, etc.
The conference featured a total of 19 expert presentations, all delivered in English, from October 27 to 31. Free discussion sessions were scheduled on the afternoons of October 29 and 31. During these talks and discussions, participants actively exchanged the latest developments in cutting-edge research topics within the field, creating a highly dynamic and engaging atmosphere on site. We hope this conference could promote the future development of Poisson geometry and Mathematical Physics.
